Meet the ፊደል.

The Feedel is the Amharic alphabet — and it’s far friendlier than it looks. People think it’s 231 shapes to memorize. It isn’t. Let us show you why.

The one idea

33 families of seven. Not 231 shapes.

Every Feedel letter is a base consonant that takes seven small, regular changes — one for each vowel. Learn the pattern on one family, and it repeats across the whole alphabet.

base · “m”
+ 7 vowels =
1st
mu2nd
mi3rd
ma4th
me5th
6th
mo7th
See how the shape barely changes? Just a little mark, a little turn — same letter, seven vowels. Do that 33 times and you can read Amharic.
Machines help, but humans lead

The alphabet everyone fears — made friendly.
